Had my top Tom bearing edges re-cut by Mic Scharf @klangmacherei  to 45°, bottom is still 33° I’m using Remo coated vintage Ambassador heads on top. Zildjian Cymbals: 14” K light Hihats 19” A Armand Ride 20” K Custom Medium Ride 16” K Session Crash 22” K Constantinople Swish knocker Vic Firth AJ1

To avoid too much Ride Cymbal spill when playing a three-piece kit with the EAD10, I made myself a Ride Cymbal Shield out of cardboard and mounted it on the L-Arm of my kit. Here are two examples, with and without the Ride cymbal Shield. 20" K Custom Dark Ride

Hi i just bought a fiberglass kit no heads on yet you seem to be using black dots and hydraulic heads are they the best match for this kit ? Have you tried anything else with them. It sounds great Thanks
Hi, thanks for watching. When I bought the kid it came with the black dot hats. I switched them out with Remo Colortone in Red to match the kit. Haven’t tried anything else out yet, but clear pinstripes also would work very well with it.

Wow, sehr aufschlussreich! Das 18 K Dark Crash fällt im Mix etwas untenrum ab, ist aber dennoch nicht schlecht, die meisten anderen sind großartig. Kommt halt auf die Musik an und was man sucht. Das Renaissance ist ein Träumchen, gerade mit den Rivets. Das 18er K Crashride ist DER Allrounder und auch die Mischung aus Trockenheit und Komplexität beim 22er Custom hat seinen Reiz. Alles in allem wäre das Beautiful Baby mein Favourit. Es würde im Kontext mit anderen Becken, z.B. K`s ab 20" bereits einen schönen Kontrast bieten und sich dennoch wunderbar einfügen. Es scheint komplexer und etwas interessanter als das Avedis. (Ich liebe auch das 21" Armand Ride, allerdings eher im Pop-Bereich, es ähnelt dem 21" Sweet A stark.) Vielleicht kannst du das Baby ja mal im Set up mit nem 22"K/K light o.ä. und den 15" New Beats spielen. Das fände ich super. Klasse Spiel übriegens.

The craziness is that right now I have almost all of these trying to match a left side ride to a 20" K con medium thin low. The best so far is a Avedis 19 with rivets, my older 18 K dark thin crash (small rooms/quiet gigs)...and a 19 K dark thin that is more like a crash ride...it woud be perfect if it was whole tone higher....still searching...and need to do a sell off.

@@uwepetersen no doubt...should have stopped when I had a complete Erskine bag...it works well for everything. But, I recently got a killer MTL at 2105 grams ( really medium weight) a 20" swish and some 13" Armand hats...it's a killer small set...just need that left side....I prefer 19's...wish Zildjian made a 19" regular K crash ride...had the K con and it was too close to the MTL tone wise...the Avedis is a bit hollow sounding and an Armand is a bit to much cymbal....maybe a thin 50-60's A...
Exports came out 1984. I had the first run. You got a great sound out of that snare.

Thank you for watching my videos. First get your Jazz Ride pattern down. It should become second nature to you. Then grab the Ted Reed syncopation book and practice on your compings between your Snare and Bass drum while keeping the Jazz Ride pattern going. Good luck!
